Conditions of Entry

All entrants must pay the sums asked for and give an address by e-mail or via the entry form. If the charity you are walking for is not affiliated to The Great Scottish Walk then the fee is £15 per person.

On receipt of your entry you will receive an official sponsor form(s). The walk numbers, walk instructions, and information will be sent to you nearer the time of the walk

All entrants must be physically and mentally fit enough to take part and do so at their own risk. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to any person from walking and will not be liable for any injury or damage arising out of any aspects of the event. Only walkers finishing the event are eligible for a commemorative medal. The organisers reserve the right to withhold the medal and publishing the walker's name if they believe the walker has not completed the requisite number of miles.

No monies are refunded once paid, and re-entry to another category e.g changing from 12 miles to 6 miles necessitates an additional payment. All walkers must wear clothing that does not cause offence or breaks the law.

Route

All walkers must keep within the route as signposted and instructed by marshalls or the police. The marshals have the right to recommend disqualification for any walker to the organisers.

First Aid

This is provided from the start point of the walk but marshalls can access this service on route if requested. Water and energy snack bars will be available at designated parts of the route.

Monies Raised

All monies raised must be paid directly to your chosen charity (or mascot) by August 9th following the walk.

Dogs

Are welcome to take part in the walk and must pay the same fee as their owner. They too will receive a walker number, which must be displayed on their collar. They must be kept under control at all times. Water will be made available for them on route.
