The success of the Great Scottish Walk depends a great deal on the support of the volunteer marshalls and we do appreciate that all volunteers will be giving up their valuable time to help us.
All route marshalls will be provided with a packed lunch, souvenir t-shirt, cap and medal. Transport will be laid on from the start to the allocated marshalls position.
The Goldwing Owners Club of Great Britain

Following an initial enquiry years ago from the owner of the Great Scottish Walks into the Goldwing Owners club of Great Britain , and involvement in charitable events, the Goldwing owners club were invited to take part in the annual Walk. Since then, we have provided services for marshalling the walkers, general public and controlling the crowds in the stadium.
Signage is posted along the route the day prior to the event, and on the day we are involved in ensuring the junctions are controlled, by separating vehicles and walkers and ensuring static marshals are placed along the route to keep everyone on track. Whilst we are doing our bit on our bikes, the Ladies of our club help back in the stadium, they record times or positions of the walkers arriving back at the venue, handing out medals, certificates and all other aspects of the walk finishing line.
We are delighted to be involved with the Great Scottish Walks year after year, promoting a good cause, fundraising and keeping fit and healthy.
A little bit of Club History

From humble beginnings, the club has grown to now span across the British and Channel Islands , comprising 37 regions and 3500 members. Scottish Regions, formerly a sub region of Border Wings, were formed around 1992 and the first AGM took place in 1994.
The Goldwing bikers club regulary attend meetings and events with other regions and independent wing clubs socialising with other like minded groups and individuals all over Britain and Europe . These meeting allow the greeting of friends from across the UK and Europe , the formation of friendships which will last long into the future, and nurtures a sense of camaraderie amongst all.
A number of meetings, outings and charity events are held throughout the year, where we collect monies for local charities as well as our monthly meetings, where we discuss the forthcoming business and events.
